The Exercise Physiology Clinic was established as a community exercise rehabilitation service for patients with chronic and complex health conditions. The clinic is also available to patients who have exhausted available publicly funded services within the hospital system.
This clinic is operated by the School of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Southern Queensland, Ipswich Campus. The clinic offers services in a variety of areas including assessment, exercise prescription and exercise delivery for individuals and groups. Services are provided by Sport and Exercise Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology students as part of the practicum requirements of their degrees at UniSQ under the supervision of appropriately qualified and experience staff.
Services
The Exercise Physiology Clinic offers high quality, low cost, evidence-based services for people of all ages in the community. The clinic provides assessment, consultations and group exercise for a range of health issues, including:
- Diabetes and pre-diabetes
- Cardiovascular disease
- Obesity
- Cancer
- Depression and other mental health conditions
- Arthritis and osteoporosis
- Chronic respiratory disease and asthma
- Musculoskeletal injuries
- Neuromuscular disease.

The Exercise Physiology Clinic is located in Building C at UniSQ Ipswich. Parking is available for patients in front of the clinic in car park 1. The clinic has disability friendly access with facilities and parking nearby.
The clinic is also accessible via public transport – bus 515 from Yamanto and Brassall.
