At UniSQ, we know the value of student feedback.
From our teaching, courses and resources to our services, facilities and support, we want to hear where we do well and what we can improve.
Throughout your student journey, you will have the opportunity to share your experience with us through UniSQ conducted surveys, as well as a number of nationally administered surveys.
Student Course Feedback
Students have the opportunity to provide feedback on their course during week 4 and 5 and again at the end of semester. Student feedback allows us to review and improve the quality of our teaching and courses while students are still enrolled in the course as well as improvements over the longer term. Students receive a pop-up notification in the course StudyDesk on planned actions resulting from student feedback. All comments made in the surveys are confidential and course teaching teams won't be able to link the comments back to individuals.
Student Experience Survey (SES)
The Student Experience Survey funded by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training is a nationwide survey that measures undergraduate and postgraduate student satisfaction in the areas of:
- Overall quality of educational experience
- Teaching quality
- Learning engagement
- Learning resources
- Student support
- Skills development
Emails are sent to current students’ UMail accounts during August each year, inviting them to complete the Survey.
Graduate Outcomes Survey (GOS)
Initiated by the Australian Government Department of Education and Training, the Graduate Outcomes Survey gives insight into the employment outcomes of our graduates including median salary, the number of students in full-time, part-time, or casual work and those undertaking further study. This survey is conducted around four months after graduates have completed their studies.
Emails are sent by the Social Research Centre to all graduates around four months after they have completed their studies inviting them to complete the Survey.
There are weekly prize draws for completing the Survey.
Employer Satisfaction Survey (ESS)
The Employer Satisfaction Survey is emailed to the employers of students that completed and provided the contact details of their supervisor within the Graduate Outcomes Survey. Within the Survey, supervisors are asked to assess how well a graduate’s qualification has prepared them for the workplace by considering their generic and technical skills. The survey provides important information about the job readiness of graduates as well as the quality of education across Australian tertiary institutions.
UniSQ uses the results of these surveys to enhance our programs and courses, our students’ study experience and the career information we provide to our students.
