This Collection Notice relates to how the University of Southern Queensland uses photographs, videos and other media at UniSQ events.
The University of Southern Queensland (we, our, us, UniSQ) is collecting your personal information as outlined below in connection with your attendance at an event on one of our campuses.
Pictures, videos, images or audio that identify you are your personal information. By attending this event, you are giving consent for UniSQ to take photographs, vision, video and/or audio of you (‘the material’) which may be published in any form on any medium – including vision, audio, print media, the internet (including social media) or other multi-media or graphic representation. UniSQ may use the material for one or more of the following reasons:
- Our resources/programs;
- Promotion of UniSQ courses, services and activities;
- General display (or display for any other purposes, including to assist UniSQ with further education and promotional requirements); or
- Any commercial or non-commercial distribution of the resulting education or promotional products/resources.
The material may be made available by UniSQ through publicly accessible sites, and the content may be downloaded by persons accessing such sites. The material will otherwise only be accessed by authorised UniSQ staff. We will not otherwise use or disclose the material containing your personal information, except where permitted or required by law. UniSQ handles personal information in accordance with the provisions of the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld).

UniSQ’s use of the material is unrelated to use by the third party operator of this event (if any), and if you have any questions about how they are collecting or using your personal information you should consult their Privacy Policy.
