Inaugural UniSQ exhibition to open this week.

The inaugural University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) Biennial Art Award will bring together artists from all over Australia to celebrate and champion contemporary Australian art.

The newly established national award explores Australian art, celebrates our artists, and promotes UniSQ’s Visual Arts programs.

With a generous prize pool of $40,000, the Biennial Art Award attracted an impressive 645 entries from more than 300 artists across Australia.

The works of 36 finalists will be on display at UniSQ’s Toowoomba Art Gallery on Friday night, where winners will be announced at an exclusive opening.

The exhibition will run until Friday, May 17, 2024.
