UniSQ launches new website to connect students with housing options

Three people walk along a garden path lined with greenery and flowers, under a metal and wood pergola, on a sunny day.

The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is launching a new website to connect students with available housing.

Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Karen Nelson announced the new platform, which will support students during a challenging time in the accommodation market.

“We are all aware of the unprecedented demand for accommodation in our communities, which has been directly impacting our students,” she said.

“As a university, we are looking to support students to find accommodation around our Toowoomba, Springfield and Ipswich campuses.”

The online platform allows current and future students to browse available accommodation listings and set up a flatmate profile to search for like-minded people to live with.

“We’re encouraging members of the public, real estate agents and private providers to list available housing options,” Professor Nelson said.

If you’re interested in renting a property, visit the new UniSQ Accommodation Listings website.

If you have suitable accommodation options available for students, register your listing via the online portal on the website.
