Governments, organisations, and schools continue to develop and make attempts to implement strategic direction papers and policies designed to deliver an environment of equity and success for students irrespective of their school context. Public data sources on school and student achievement reflect the challenge of achieving this goal. This research study focuses on how school leaders pivot in a world of discontinuous change while simultaneously striving for an equity reality and success. Addressing this research problem on how to lead and succeed in developing and sustaining an equity reality for students will be researched through the sharing of Secondary School Principal perspectives from Western Australian schools in a qualitative case study format for each of the selected participants. Purposeful sampling will be used to select participants who will meet a set of parameters used to identify a small group of suitable School Principals who will be interviewed. Interview data will be analysed using a thematic analysis approach to identify themes and an inductive process will be adopted. The aim of this research is to discover an organisational system design that enhances school success in creating an equity reality and an equity continuum of assessment and progress. This research also endeavours to detail how School Principals pivot in the school environment of discontinuous change to sustain equity in educational excellence as the reality. This research will provoke and inspire the mindset of school leaders and encourage curiosity for their own school setting.
