Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA) Trailblazer Masters scholarship in Food Science and Technology
This scholarship is for a student to carry out research in the areas of food science, food technology or food manufacturing. The focus of the work will be in the development of novel ingredients or novel premium food and/or beverage products. This project will have a strong laboratory component and may include experimental work in food formulation and chemical analysis, new product development, sensory analysis and mechanical (rheological) analysis. - have completed a 3-year degree at an Australian university or equivalent, with a GPA of 5.0/7.0 or above, or equivalent score;
- have applied, or currently enrolled in the Masters by Research program at UniSQ;
- not be receiving equivalent support providing a benefit greater than 75% of the student’s stipend rate;
- be eligible to commence or continue a Masters by Research program in January or February 2025
- Have studied and/or worked in the areas of food science, food technology, process engineering, chemistry, biochemistry or microbiology.
- Have experience in new food formulation and product development.
- Have worked in a laboratory environment and are aware of safety requirements of working in a laboratory.
- Experience of working with the food manufacturing industry is desirable.
