Goondiwindi Region Scholarship

In 2025, UniSQ will offer one Goondiwindi Region Scholarship to support a student from Goondiwindi or its surrounding districts, commencing their studies in a bachelor’s degree program.

The Goondiwindi Region Scholarship was established to support a student commencing at UniSQ in a bachelor’s degree program who resides in or has relocated from Goondiwindi or its surrounding districts.

The scholarship will have a maximum value of:

  • $12 000 (32-unit degree), or
  • $9000 (24-unit degree).

The scholarship will be paid as a stipend of $3000 per year (full-time study), or $1500 per year (part-time study).

Applicants must:

  • be a domestic student currently residing in Australia
  • be a resident of, or have relocated to study from, the Goondiwindi Regional Council Local Government Area (LGA)
    • consideration may also be extended to applicants from the surrounding districts outside the Goondiwindi LGA
  • be a commencing student
  • be intending to enrol at UniSQ in a bachelor’s degree program in Study Period 1 2025 (e.g., Trimester 1 2025).

Applicants must:

  • address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):
    • what influenced and motivated you to choose your intended study program at UniSQ
    • how do you see yourself as a future professional within your field
  • provide evidence to show you have a permanent residential address in, or have relocated to study from, the Goondiwindi Regional Council LGA, or a surrounding district (refer LGA directory), as directed in the application process
  • provide evidence of academic achievement as directed in the application process:
    • final year school report card or post-secondary academic history (transcript of results)  
  • provide evidence of your current financial circumstances.

*Extra consideration will be given to applicants who are enrolling in full-time study.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.

Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.
