MacIntyre Wind Farm Scholarship

In 2025, UniSQ will offer three MacIntyre Wind Farm Scholarships to support students commencing their studies in a bachelor's degree program.

Established in 2020 and funded by an endowed gift from ACCIONA Energia, this scholarship will provide ongoing support for students from around the Darling Downs.

Each scholarship will have a maximum value of $4000 to be paid in one instalment.

Applicants must:

  • be a domestic student currently residing in Australia
  • be a resident of, or have relocated to study from, one of the following Local Government Areas:
    • Southern Downs Regional Council
    • Goondiwindi Regional Council
    • Toowoomba Regional Council
  • be a commencing student
  • be intending to enrol full-time at UniSQ in a bachelor’s degree program in Study Period 1 2025 (e.g., Trimester 1 2025).

Applicants must:

  • address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):
    • what influenced and motivated you to choose your intended study program at UniSQ
    • how do you see yourself as a future professional within your field
  • provide evidence to show you have a permanent residential address in, or have relocated to study from, one of the following Local Government Areas (refer LGA directory):
    • Southern Downs Regional Council
    • Goondiwindi Regional Council
    • Toowoomba Regional Council
  •  provide evidence of academic achievement as directed in the application process:
    • final year school report card or post-secondary academic history (transcript of results)
  • provide evidence of your current financial circumstances.

*Extra consideration will be given to applicants who are an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.

Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.
