Maha Sinnathamby AM Scholarship

In 2025, UniSQ will offer one Maha Sinnathamby AM Scholarship to support a student commencing their studies in a bachelor's degree program.

Established in 2022 through the founding gift from Mr Maha Sinnathamby AM, this endowed scholarship supports students who can demonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities.

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $8000 to be paid over two years.

Applicants must:

be a domestic student currently residing in Australia
be a commencing student
be intending to enrol full-time at UniSQ in a bachelor's degree program in Study Period 1 2025 (e.g.,Trimester 1 2025).

Applicants must:

address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum each question):
- what influenced and motivated you to choose your intended study program at UniSQ
- how do you see yourself as a future professional within your field
provide evidence of your current financial circumstances.

*Extra consideration will be given to applicants who can highlight their entrepreneurial plans/goals. For example, in a statement of no more than 500 words, you may like to describe your thought process and actions when establishing your own business endeavour, small or large. Alternatively, if you are not a business owner but plan to use your studies to gain the necessary tools to establish your own business, you may like to describe your industry/career of interest and the opportunities that you see for new business within your chosen industry.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
