NSW Country Surveyors Association Scholarship

This scholarship will not open for applications in 2025.

In 2024, UniSQ will offer one NSW Country Surveyors Association Scholarship to support a student continuing their studies in the Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying).

The NSW Country Surveyors Association wishes to support talented surveying students from regional and remote NSW who have a strong commitment to the profession of surveying and a desire to become a registered land surveyor with the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information (BOSSI).

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $15 000 to be paid over three years.

Applicants must:

  • be a domestic student currently residing in Australia
  • be from a regional, rural or remote area within New South Wales
  • be continuing their studies full-time at UniSQ in the Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying) in Trimester 1 2024
  • have, as at the release of results for Semester 2 2023:
    • a minimum of 6 study units completed and credited towards their current program
    • a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 4.0
  • not be in receipt of another UniSQ awarded scholarship.

Applicants must:

  • address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):
    • in reflecting on your studies to date, how will you make the most of your remaining studies at UniSQ?
    • how do you see yourself as a future professional within your field?
    • your involvement within your local community, industry or the university and how has this shaped your development as an individual?
  • provide evidence to show you have a permanent address in a regional, rural or remote area within New South Wales as per the Modified Monash Model 2019.

*Applicants will also be assessed on academic achievement.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.
