UniSQ will offer a number of bursaries to support undergraduate students attending placements and residential schools.
Placement and Residential School Bursaries - 2024
Bursaries will be valued at $250 - $1000 and paid in one instalment as follows:
- 41 to 80 hours - $250
- 81 to 120 hours - $500
- 121 to 160 hours - $750
- 161 hours and over - $1000
*Students attending one or more residential schools, are eligible to apply, and will receive a single payment of $250 if successful.
Placement and Residential School applicant requirements:
- domestic student
- enrolment in a UniSQ undergraduate program with a placement or residential school
- continuing students must have achieved a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 4.0 at the time of applying
- demonstrate additional expenses associated with placement/residential school attendance.
*Surveying students are not eligible for the Residential School Bursary. Please refer to the Surveying Residential School Bursary.
Clinical Placement applicant requirements:
- domestic or international on-campus student
- enrolment in UniSQ's Bachelor of Nursing (BNSG) or Bachelor of Midwifery (Graduate Entry) (BMID)
- be a continuing student who has successfully completed a minimum of 8 courses (BNSG) or 4 courses (BMID)
- must have achieved a GPA of at least 4.0 at the time of applying
- demonstrate additional expenses associated with placement attendance.
- travelling at least 80km to placement
*Domestic students who do not meet minimum course or distance requirements will be considered for Placement Bursary.
Applicant requirements:
- detail additional expenses associated with attending their placement/residential school
- provide their InPlace details as evidence of their placement and confirmation that the placement dates fall within the current bursary timeframe
- provide confirmation of their residential school.
Applicants must not be in receipt of remuneration from the placement agency/site, nor supported by another Rural or Remote Clinical Placement Scholarship.
