Surveying Residential School Bursary

In 2025, UniSQ will offer a number of Surveying Residential School Bursaries to support undergraduate surveying students attending compulsory residential schools.

This bursary was established by donations from the Surveyors’ Trust.

Please note: These bursaries will be awarded at regular intervals to eligible students throughout the application period. Once the allocated funds have been exhausted, applications will close, and the bursary will be ceased.

Value
Each bursary will have a maximum value of $500 to be paid in Trimester 1 2025.

Applicants must:

  • be a domestic student currently residing in Australia     
  • be enrolled in a UniSQ undergraduate surveying degree 
  • be enrolled in and attending a residential school for one of the following courses, in Trimester 1 2025:
    • SVY2100 Fundamental Surveying Practice
    • SVY2300 Applied Surveying Practices
    • SVY3107 Applied Geodesy
    • SVY3904 Surveying and Spatial Science Practice 4

Please Note: Only surveying students enrolled in one of the listed courses are eligible for this bursary.  All other students should apply via the Placement and Residential School Bursaries.

Applicants must:

  • provide details of anticipated expenses that will be incurred to attend the residential school.

Trimester 1 2025

  • Open: 10 February - Close: Friday 23 May 2025 at 11:59pm (AEST)
  • Residential schools scheduled to commence:  10 February to 25 May 2025

Scheduled application periods for Trimesters 2 and 3 2025

Trimester 2 2025 

  • Open: Late May - Close: Monday 25 August 2025 at 11:59pm (AEST)
  • Residential schools scheduled to commence:  26 May 2025 to 7 September 2025

Trimester 3 2025 

  • Open: Early September - Close: Monday 8 December 2025 at 11:59pm (AEST)
  • Residential schools scheduled to commence:  8 September to 20 December 2025
