UniSQ Community Award

In 2024, UniSQ will offer four UniSQ Community Awards to support students continuing their studies in an associate degree, bachelor's degree, or postgraduate coursework program in recognition of their involvement in the UniSQ community.

This award recognises the recipients' involvement in the UniSQ community in activities such as student representation, mentoring programs, support groups for academic performance, social and sporting activities.

Each award will have a maximum value of $2000 to be paid in one instalment. 

Applicants must:

  • be a domestic student currently residing in Australia, or an international on-campus student
  • be continuing their studies full-time or part-time at UniSQ in an associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or postgraduate coursework program in Study Period 1 2024 (e.g., Trimester 1 2024)
  • have a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 5.0 as at the release of results for Semester 2 2023
  • be involved in UniSQ community activities
  • not be a previous recipient of this award.

Applicants must:

  • address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):         
    • how do you enrich the UniSQ community through your participation in UniSQ community activities
    • what have you personally gained through your participation.                                    
  • upload a document listing what UniSQ community activities you have been/are involved in, your position/level of involvement, and dates of this involvement
  • provide evidence of involvement in the UniSQ community in activities such as (but not limited to) the following:
    • Student Representative on a UniSQ Academic or Governance Committee
    • Member of the Student Representative Committee
    • Member of the Student Senate
    • Student Representative on the UniSQ Student Guild Board
    • Student Ambassador
    • Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) Leader
    • Residential College representative (e.g., Student Club Officer, ResPALS leaders)
    • UniSQ Student Club Member
    • Unisport Nationals and Residential Shield.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.

Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.
