Vemulapalli Raja Rao Memorial Scholarship

In 2025, UniSQ will offer one Vemulapalli Raja Rao Memorial Scholarship to support a student commencing their studies in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours).

Established in 2023 through the founding gifts from his children and the Yarlagadda Ragamayi and Vemulapalli Kasinath Chowdary Educational Endowment Fund, this endowed scholarship celebrates Vemulapalli Raja Rao’s vision of lifelong educational opportunities to regional communities by supporting engineering students through their studies.

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $4000 to be paid in one instalment.

Applicants must:

  • be a domestic student currently residing in Australia
  • be a commencing student
  • be intending to enrol full-time at UniSQ in the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Study Period 1 2025 (e.g., Trimester 1 2025).

Applicants must:

  • address each personal statement question below (250 words maximum per question):
    • what influenced and motivated you to choose your intended study program at UniSQ
    • how do you see yourself as a future professional within your field
  • provide evidence of academic achievement as directed in the application process:
    • final year school report card or post-secondary academic history (transcript of results)
  • provide evidence of your current financial circumstances.

Please Note: If an applicant holds other UniSQ awarded scholarships, this may be taken into consideration in selection. There are some scholarships that cannot be held together.

Application must be made via the UniSQ Scholarships Online Application Management System.
