TAFE/VET graduates

As a TAFE or VET graduate, you can use your Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) awards of certificate III, certificate IV, diploma or advanced diploma to submit an application to study with UniSQ.

We convert your TAFE or VET qualification and results along with your past school results and work experience (if applicable) into a selection rank. It is this selection rank that determines which degrees you may meet the entry requirements for.

1. Find your degree

Check the application dates for the degree you want to apply for. Application dates can vary so it’s important to view UniSQ’s key dates  to find out all the details.

Each degree has unique entry requirements and supporting documentation, therefore it is important you read the entry requirements for each degree.

Some degrees have additional entry requirements such as auditions and interviews which you will need to understand before submitting your application.

The entry requirements for your degree will give you an idea of the documentation to provide. These documents help us to verify that you meet the entry requirements.

TAFE QLD qualification  

Apply online directly to UniSQ for your chosen undergraduate degree. There are some exceptions in which you will need to apply through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC). These are:

Other Australian TAFE qualification

Apply though the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) if your TAFE qualification is not from TAFE QLD.

After you’ve submitted your application you will be emailed a reference number. You will be notified via email an update of your application within 10 business days. You can check the progress of your application at any time by logging into your Direct Entry application.

Alternatively, if you applied via QTAC, you will be emailed a QTAC reference number. QTAC will email you the outcome of your application during an offer round.
