In today’s digital world, cyberattacks are becoming increasingly complex and cyber security is vital for businesses of all scales. Without cyber security, individuals risk identity theft, businesses suffer financial and reputational loss, and infrastructure can be disrupted and compromised. In this two-day, intensive course delivered by IT and cyber security expert, Professor Raj Gururajan, you will analyse interesting case studies and hear from industry leaders on how they manage cyber threats. Explore the concept of social engineering in cyberattacks by delving into how attackers can manipulate human psychology and interactions to hack into systems. You’ll examine current and emerging social engineering techniques and understand how they differ from traditional hacking methods. Learn how to reduce and manage cyber risks by understanding what the potential threats are. This course has limited numbers to ensure an interactive and customised experience.

Professor Raj Gururajan is a technology specialist at the forefront of information technology and cyber security education. A pioneer in delivering education in these sectors, Raj has also curated and conducted many professional courses in the domains of disaster recovery planning, computer security, end user computing and research methodology for professionals in Australia, India, Mauritius and Singapore. With over 25 years of experience in developing IT systems designed to create business efficiencies and bolster cyber security, Raj is the architect of the Master of Cyber Security at the University of Southern Queensland. Raj also supervises UniSQ PhD students as they use cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology.
