Overcoming Imposter Syndrome

Many people who transition to a leadership role experience feelings of being inadequate.

Do you ever feel like everyone else seems to know what they’re doing? Well, you’re definitely not alone! This course will support leaders at the beginning of their management journey. It will help you identify and address negative thought and behaviour patterns that undermine your confidence and help you to develop your own leadership style and behaviours. This course has a four-week teaching period requiring a total of approximately 40 hours of learning. All course learning materials are available on demand.

What will you achieve?

By the end of the course, you'll be able to:

  • Communicate change and transformation of professional practice drawing on knowledge and understanding of effective leadership skills and behaviours.
  • Demonstrate autonomy and judgement through acting on critical reflection of effective practice and integrity.

Assessment

To be eligible for a digital badge for this course, you will need to successfully complete an assessment which includes:

  • A leadership action and implementation plan
  • The optional assessment is due at the beginning of week 7

  • This level for this microcredential is Proficient.
    The material for this course has been designed for students who have already demonstrated a high level of skill in the subject matter. Students must have relevant experience and/or have studied the course material before (at competent level).
