Overview 

Ensure the safety of your colleagues and avoid penalties by attending this comprehensive course on work health and safety (WHS) obligations for business leaders. As a leader, this UniSQ Co-Lab course will equip you with the knowledge you need to foster a safe working environment within your organisation.

Delivered by Aaron Guilfoyle, Queensland’s inaugural independent Work Health and Safety Prosecutor, this course will provide you with a thorough understanding of your duty and obligations as an officer under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Queensland). Designed for business leaders, this course is applicable to all industries and organisation sizes – register today if you are a senior manager, company secretary, general counsel or executive or non-executive director.

Aaron Guilfoyle

Aaron Guilfoyle is a work health and safety specialist with over 20 years of experience in prosecutions and government regulation. Prior to entering private practice, Aaron was a highly accomplished state and federal prosecutor, serving in both senior and chief executive roles within government. In 2019, Aaron was appointed as Queensland’s inaugural independent Work Health and Safety Prosecutor, heading the independent statutory office, the Office of the Work Health and Safety Prosecutor. He was appointed by the Governor in Council for a five-year term, prosecuting work health and safety matters referred by the Office of Industrial Relations and mining safety matters referred by Resources Safety and Health Queensland. Aaron has developed and delivered work health and safety compliance and officer due diligence training for businesses, public bodies, and government-owned corporations in a wide variety of industries.
