What to expect at our 2025 UniSQ Open Days

UniSQ Open Days have concluded for 2024. Below is what you can expect in 2025: 

  • Take a tour around campus and discover our state of the art facilities. Plus, don't forget to explore our indoor rainforest located in our Library. 
  • Chat one-on-one with lecturers and current students and learn about the opportunities included in your degree.
  • Test your skills as a nurse or paramedic in our nursing wards and emergency training labs, including a simulated ambulance and birthing suite. 
  • Step into the shoes of a law student, in our modern court room.
  • Explore our state-of-the-art simulated learning experiences in our Skillshare simulation studios for social work and human services.
  • Learn how to be a change agent with our psychology experts.
  • Get a one-on-one career counselling session to help plan your future. It's free but places are limited so make sure to get there early to secure your spot.
  • Sit back and relax to live music while you enjoy lunch from our food trucks.

 

University of Southern Queensland Paramedic Students

UniSQ Open Days have concluded for 2024. Below is what you can expect in 2025: 

  • Chat one-on-one with lecturers and students and learn about the opportunities included in your degree. 
  • Get ready for take-off. Be immersed in live demonstrations of our flight simulator. You could even fly the simulator yourself - make sure you arrive early as there are limited spots.
  • Tour our multi-million dollar engineering lab.
  • Get up close with some of Australia's most unique wildlife with our wildlife and environmental science experts.
  • Go behind the scenes and uncover how a live television show is produced or be a part of a live radio program in the studio.
  • Heard of the new work order? Learn more with our Business Head of School and find out how we're preparing graduates for the future of business.
  • Get a one-on-one career counselling session to help plan your future. It's free but places are limited so make sure to get there early to secure your spot.
  • Sit back and relax to live music while you enjoy lunch from our food trucks.

  • Chat one-on-one with lecturers and current students and learn about your degree options.

  • Tour our high-tech Agricultural precinct. Discover our hypersonic flow and rocket facilities and learn about the science behind driverless tractors and precision irrigation systems.
  • Take part in an acting workshop and theatre making workshop with our School of Creative Arts.
  • Get up close with some of Australia's most unique wildlife with our wildlife and environmental science experts.
  • Take part in three Medicine Pathway activities. Learn about blood grouping, physiology, and suturing. Places are limited so make sure to get there early to secure your spot.
  • Discover the world of rocket science and space engineering. Learn about the principles of flight as your create your own water rocket.
  • Get a one-on-one career counselling session to help plan your future. It's free but places are limited so make sure to get there early to secure your spot.
  • Sit back and relax to live music while you enjoy lunch from our food trucks.

Open Day is the best way to get a feel for the campus, learn more about your study options, student clubs, sports teams, events, as well as finding out what it's really like to study at UniSQ. 

Frequently Asked Questions

It’s easy to get to all three of UniSQ’s campuses via car or public transport. There’s a public bus service that links UniSQ Springfield, Ipswich and Toowoomba with many major suburbs and train stations.  

UniSQ Springfield 

Free parking is available just off University Drive next to the new Engineering building F. Additional parking is available off Education City Drive in the general parking. You may notice a couple of metered bays however there is no charge for parking on Open Day.  Download Springfield campus map.

UniSQ Ipswich 

All parking is free and includes parking areas 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Download Ipswich campus map.

UniSQ Toowoomba 

All parking on campus is free. You may notice a couple of metered bays however there is no charge for parking on Open Day. Download Toowoomba campus map.

Everyone! Open Day is a family friendly event and prospective students of all ages can attend to find out more about their degree of interest or what it’s like to study at UniSQ.

In 2024, UniSQ Open Days will take place on 11 August for Springfield and Ipswich campuses, and 18 August for the Toowoomba campus from 10am - 2pm.

UniSQ Open Days are a family friendly event with food trucks available all day and live music to keep everyone entertained.

One of the best things about UniSQ Open Day is speaking directly to our expert lecturers. And you can do this without needing to book an appointment. When you attend on the day head directly to the information booths to find out where you can chat to lecturers at each campus.

To speak with a qualified Career Counsellor, head to the careers stall on the day. They'll chat you through what degrees can help you reach your career goals. No advanced booking is required.

Yes! Our expert Degree Advisors can help you submit your application to UniSQ at each campus on Open Day. They’ll walk you through the application process and answer any questions you might have. If you know you’d like to apply on the day, contact us to find out if there’s any supporting documentation you will need to submit with your application. Otherwise, feel free to attend Open Day and our Degree Advisors will let you know if there’s anything you’ll need to apply and start the application process with you.
Campus tours are a great way to explore each campus and it's facilities. We recommend them being one of the first things you do if you’re keen to orientate yourself and see everything we have to offer on campus. You don’t need to book to attend a campus tour. They run all day at each campus, check the program for times.
Yes! There are a variety of food trucks available all day at each campus with some catering to different dietary requirements. Take some time out for lunch and sit back and relax to the live music.

The best way to stay up to date with information about UniSQ Open Day is to register in advance to attend. You’ll receive information about the day and more information as its released. 

But don't worry, if you forget to register, you can still attend on the day.
