After completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Aeronautical) and working in the engineering field for a number of years, Laura went on to begin postgraduate studies at UniSQ, graduating with a Master of Project Management and starting a Doctor of Philosophy.
At 18, Laura joined the Royal Australian Air Force and spent 12 years as an Engineering Officer. Her career saw her commanding airmen and airwomen in an operational squadron, working in the
Defence Force regulatory authority, and providing engineering support for the F-111.
Laura was Associate Researcher for a UniSQ research project conducted on behalf of the Australian Army Research Centre, and also works as a UniSQ Meet-Up Leader for a Project Management subject. A mum, casual UniSQ employee and PhD student, Laura juggles it all because of her love for learning.
