University of Southern Queensland expands into Brisbane CBD
The University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ) is excited to announce a new corporate education and engagement hub in the Brisbane CBD.
UniSQ Brisbane – located at 293 Queen Street – will provide short course programs delivered by university experts in partnership with industry leaders from early 2024.
The move into Brisbane reflects the University’s growing successes and ambition. It comes off the back of the recent Australian Financial Review’s Best Universities Ranking, which saw UniSQ ranked second in greater Brisbane.
University of Southern Queensland Vice-Chancellor Professor Geraldine Mackenzie said UniSQ Brisbane would meet the needs of business and industry and deliver on its growth strategy.
“The opening of UniSQ Brisbane last night was a significant moment in the history of our university, adding a city presence to our existing campuses at Toowoomba, Springfield and Ipswich,” Professor Mackenzie said.
“With Brisbane the fastest growing city in Australia and the Olympics in sight, there is no better time to establish a home for UniSQ in the CBD.”
The evolving nature of work, hastened by rapid technological changes, has led to a growing demand for educational programs that provide opportunities to upskill and reskill in key areas of leadership, management, and technology.
UniSQ Brisbane will initially focus on high-demand corporate education covering leadership and management, and other sought-after credentials including cyber security, data visualisation, digital health transformation and decarbonisation strategy.
Along with corporate and executive education, UniSQ Brisbane will offer bespoke training for industry and government, as well as modern room and venue facilities for hire in a convenient central CBD location.
The new CBD site will also host thought leadership events and provide an engagement and collaborative hub for UniSQ students, alumni and community.
