What does an events manager do?
Event managers (also known as event planners) might just be some of the most organised people you’ll ever meet. They oversee all aspects of professional events and meetings, coordinating everything from venue selection, catering and the guest list, to speakers, entertainment, and transportation. As an event manager, you would also manage the event finances, ensuring that costs remain within allocated event budgets. Careers in event planning are diverse, often involving work outside the standard 9:00am to 5:00pm workday as well as travel to venues and suppliers.Is a career as an events manager right for me?
If you love throwing parties, arranging get-togethers or planning events, a career in event management may be for you. Other skills and attributes beneficial for this role include:
