Overview
The Special and Inclusive Education specialisation is designed for educators who wish to further develop their specialist knowledge and skills to work with students with diverse learning needs, within a range of educational settings. This specialisation will enhance roles in a range of specialised contexts, applying contemporary, evidence-based pedagogies, whether supporting general education teachers to develop and implement individualised programs for students with diverse learning needs, or working directly with small groups, or a classroom of students.
Throughout our programs there is the opportunity to study in the areas of positive behaviour support, autism, differentiation, learning difficulties, and wellbeing. Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities in evidence-based practices are also available within special and inclusive educational contexts.
