Overview

  • Expand your strategic thinking. Through industry representatives and experiential learning, you can use this business administration certificate to gain entry into Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Add immediate value to your business by learning practical and innovative strategies to lead teams with a high-performing culture. 
  • UniSQ’s new fast-tracked degree allows you to study two subjects at a time throughout one eight-week teaching period. The intake for each teaching period is consecutive with all subjects focus on scenario-based learning. 
  • Complete this graduate certificate within four months of full-time study (two subjects at a time). Choose to study one subject at a time and finish within 8 months.

Once you successfully complete this degree, you can go on to study the Graduate Diploma of Business Administration.

Entry requirements

  • Completion of an Australian university 3-year bachelor degree, or equivalent, with a GPA of at least 4.0 out of 7.0, and a minimum of 3 years' full-time relevant professional work experience in business at management or supervisory level.

  • With no formal university qualification, you will require at least 5 years' relevant professional work experience at management or supervisory level which is equivalent of an Australian bachelor degree (AQF Level 7).

Applicants who have not completed a 3-year bachelor degree, but have a minimum of 5 years' professional work experience in business with at least 1 year's management or supervisory level experience, or equivalent, may apply for entry and be assessed on a case by case basis.

English language requirements

You are required to meet the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 with a minimum 6.0 in each subscore. UniSQ also accepts other English language proficiency tests.

If you don't meet the English language requirements, you can apply to study with our English language partner, the Union Institute of Language (UIL).

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

To complete this degree students must complete 4 units. Most courses (similar to ‘subjects’) are valued at 1 unit. To study full-time you would usually complete 2 units per teaching period.
