UniSQ Springfield’s fully integrated Media Centre provides students with an industry-like learning experience.
The facility includes a high-definition screen production studio with the Avid Everywhere backbone, production green screen, infinity cyclorama, performance curtain, full blacks around the studio, and DMX-controlled LED lighting structure. Studio Two, set up as a talent operated system, is ideal for hosting and one-on-one interviews.
The two radio studios embrace the latest in technology using the AXIA panel and interface supported by RCS software, both of which are part of the integrated video network for streaming live radio interviews and performances. The facility also includes production offices, a Green Room, make-up room and meeting rooms.
Powered by our own media students, Phoenix Radio captures the community centred focus of the Springfield campus with a mix of music, chat and information for the Greater Ipswich area. Phoenix Radio and the associated AM, FM and Digital partners put you on air and online, it is our radio station serving the local community.
With industry level facility training on campus and supported by guest presenters who are regulars within our teaching and learning experience, our students leave UniSQ industry-ready.
