Course reading list service

UniSQ Library can assist examiners to create and manage Course Reading lists.

The Library is responsible for ensuring that the details of Mandatory Texts listed in Course Readings align with the authorised Course Specification.

All other content that is added to Course Readings is the responsibility of the examiner, including any recommended and additional readings that are not listed in the Course Specification.

The Library is responsible for managing the copyright attributions for all resources in Course Reading lists.

Course Reading lists are rolled over from the most recent offering to create the reading list for the next teaching period.

The workflow for the Course Readings list service follows this sequence:

  1. The Course Reading list is updated to reflect the most recent Course Specification
  2. A 'Course readings' navigation icon that links to the reading list will become available on the StudyDesk course page
  3. The course Examiner can edit the list and add additional readings
  4. The Library will process any readings added to the list and address copyright compliance
  5. The Library will complete the citations and make the list available for Student use.

Library staff will aim to make Reading Lists available in time for the start of the teaching period.

Library staff may need to perform additional tasks to make your items available to students.

Academic Staff are encouraged to contact their Liaison Librarian for assistance if they are concerned about the availability of the Reading List for their course.

For support while working with Reading Lists, including finding resources, best practice or technical issues, please contact the Liaison Librarian for your faculty.
