Overview

  • Whether you’re new to study or haven’t completed Year 12, UniSQ’s Diploma of Multidisciplinary Studies provides a comfortable transition to university study.
  • This major will deliver an introduction to business studies at university and allow you to develop essential study skills in English, critical analysis and mathematics.
  • You will have the opportunity to select courses introducing you to marketing, accounting, economics, law or finance.

Further study

As a graduate, you will be eligible to apply for direct entry into a range of UniSQ undergraduate degrees including the Bachelor of Business or the Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies. Your studies could also count as credit toward your undergraduate degree.

English language requirements

You are required to meet the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 5.5 with a minimum 5.0 in each subscore. UniSQ also accepts other English language proficiency tests, or you can apply to study with our English language partner, the Union Institute of Language (UIL), to meet the English language requirements.

Degree structure

To complete this degree students must complete 8 units. Most courses (similar to ‘subjects’) are valued at 1 unit. To study full-time you would usually complete 4 units per study period.

Once accepted into the Diploma, you will need to complete online diagnostic tests in mathematics, e-literacy, and English communication skills to assist staff in determining your level of reading comprehension, written expression, and mathematical understanding.
