  • Help shape and improve our population’s health by studying postgraduate courses in public health.

Further study

After successfully completing the Graduate Certificate of Public Health you can take the credit for your courses and go on to study the Graduate Diploma of Public Health or the Master of Public Health

Career outcomes

  • Public health practitioners collaborate with different healthcare teams to improve community health outcomes, and find work in organisations such as NGOs, clinics, community health centres, and local government. 

Entry requirements

  • Completed a 3-year or 4-year bachelor degree, or equivalent, in the area of health with a 4.8 GPA or higher;
    or
  • completed a 3-year or 4-year bachelor degree, or equivalent, in a different discipline with a 4.8 GPA or higher, and completed 1 year of full-time work experience in a healthcare setting.

English language requirements

You are required to meet the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.5 with a minimum 6.0 in each subscore. UniSQ also accepts other English language proficiency tests.

If you don't meet the English language requirements, you can apply to study with our English language partner, the Union Institute of Language (UIL).

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
