Overview

  • This undergraduate certificate provides foundational knowledge of surveying and spatial science, including an introduction to the industry, spatial presentation, satellite positioning, problem solving, and mathematics.
  • Choose to study full-time and complete this university qualification in as little as six months, or study part-time while you work to balance your life commitments. 

Further study

Successful completion of the Undergraduate Certificate of Surveying will enable entry and four units of credit towards the Diploma of Multidisciplinary Studies, the Associate Degree of Surveying, the Bachelor of Surveying Technology, or the Bachelor of Surveying (Honours).

Entry requirements

Pre-requisites

To study this degree we assume you have sound knowledge in:

  • English (Units 3 & 4, C) 

We assume that your knowledge is equivalent to a grade C or higher in Units 3 and 4 at high school level (typically studied in Year 12). Find out more about assumed knowledge.

  • Admission into this short program is available to eligible Commonwealth Support applicants, who are aged 17 years or over.

If you identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent you may be eligible to enter the Indigenous Higher Education (IHEPP) program.
