Overview

  • Combine your chosen Science degree with a range of Arts skills and knowledge to enhance and expand your employment opportunities in scientific fields, in science communication and journalism, and in policy-making.
  • Develop your skills and knowledge-base in many different scientific areas by taking a major in Environment and Sustainability, Animal or Plant Science, Psychology, and Wine Science.
  • Combining this with your chosen major within the Bachelor of Arts such as Journalism, Contemporary Media, International Relations or Social Justice will enable you to communicate and explain the significance of scientific research widely and to make informed policy-decisions.

English language requirements

You are required to meet the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 with a minimum 5.5 in each subscore. UniSQ also accepts other English language proficiency tests.

If you don't meet the English language requirements, you can apply to study with our English language partner, the Union Institute of Language (UIL), or if you're a domestic student you can apply to study UniSQ Ready courses TPP0122 and TPP0123.

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.

1 Students studying majors in Biology and Human Physiology are only required to complete 6 core courses.

2 Students majoring in Mathematics, Statistics, Computing (8-unit majors) or Information Technology (12-unit major) must take CIS1000 Information System Concepts course.
