  • Gain the skills you need to use software engineering techniques to produce quality software solutions. Learn about project planning, system and software requirement analysis, design, development, configuration management, testing, documentation and maintenance of software.
  • Discover more about algorithms and data structures to position you as a programmer who can create efficient and well-designed code, immersing yourself in object-oriented programming in C++.
  • Explore programming languages, database systems and disruptive technologies such as mobile apps and platform independent software applications and server-side technologies such as HTTP, authentication, stateless server-side scripting, web APIs and web application development frameworks.

Pre-requisites

To study this degree we assume you have sound knowledge in:

  • English (Units 3 & 4, C)

English language requirements

You are required to meet the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 with a minimum 5.5 in each subscore. UniSQ also accepts other English language proficiency tests.

If you don't meet the English language requirements, you can apply to study UniSQ's UniReady courses TPP0122 and TPP0123, or the English for Academic Purposes EAP2 pathway program through the Union Institute of Language (UIL).

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

If you have previously studied in your home country, you may be eligible for recognition of prior learning to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
