  • Help shape how the world understands history and society. Learn how to collect, conserve, and display material culture – creating touchstones to significant times, people and ideas.   
  • Engaging with theory and practice, develop key curatorial and museum skills including, a knowledge of cross-cultural society and history, research methods, significance assessment, and evidence-based writing about people and the environment.   
  • Learn how to analyse historical objects, artefacts, documents and artworks, and showcase them to narrate accessible and engaging accounts of society and culture.  
  • Create a unique skill set by combining your study with a major or minor in another area of interest such as anthropology, archaeology, design and interactive technologies, creative writing, or history.

English language requirements

You are required to meet the applicable English language requirements and this degree requires a minimum of IELTS 6.0 with a minimum 5.5 in each subscore. UniSQ also accepts other English language proficiency tests.

If you don't meet the English language requirements, you can apply to study UniSQ's UniReady courses TPP0122 and TPP0123, or the English for Academic Purposes EAP2 pathway program through the Union Institute of Language (UIL).

Recognition of prior learning or work experience

You may be eligible for recognition of prior learning if you have previously studied or have relevant work experience. This will help to reduce the number of courses that you need to study to finish your program.
