UniSQ Library is committed to working with Student Success and Wellbeing to provide a visible and inclusive safe space for students and staff who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer or questioning (LGBTIQ+).
Our aim is to ensure our LGBTIQ+ community can work and study in an environment free from harassment or discrimination based on their sexuality, gender identity, or gender expression.
Library staff have received UniSQ LGBTIQ+ Awareness training, and can refer students and staff to a range of support networks, especially at times when Student Success and Wellbeing services are not available.
UniSQ is also committed to promoting a supportive and inclusive educational environment. The Library LGBTIQ+ safe space is a visible and inclusive safe place for our LGBTIQ+ staff and students.
